You can ask the students to retell the story using props. (PROPS )

It would be fun to stick one piece of the food above whenever a student refers to it.

For example: Pete adds tomatoes...and the students add the tomatoes

                      Pete adds fish.....and the students add the fish.

So cut out the props and put some tape behind.

Afterwards, you could ask your students to build their own sandwich!
